Project: Caregiver as Navigator: Developing Skills Online
Client Need
An NIH sponsored study required the development of two training programs, a control program that focused on healthy living and a study program that focused on tailored training for dementia caregivers to navigate care for their person.
Approach
Led the learning strategy and design component of the project to provide dementia caregivers tools to navigate health care, legal, financial, and family systems. Developed 30 web-based, microlearning courses that included animated scenarios, subject matter expert videos, and interactive exercises. Tools used for developing course content included Articulate Rise and Storyline, and Adobe Illustrator.
Outcome
This program is currently being piloted with very positive responses from caregivers.
