Research 101

Client Need

Following mergers and organic growth, the research department at Northside Hospital needed to orient their employees to the new research program, new team members, and updated processes and systems.

Approach

Conducted a skills gap analysis using individual and group interviews. Enlisted a team of employees to design, implement, and champion instructor-led training geared at unifying fragmented research departments. The training included individual and group activities to enhance understanding while encouraging a culture of collaboration.

Outcome

The course was offered to the research department as well as external collaborator with overwhelming positive results. Leaners shared an appreciation for what they do as well as what their colleagues do. This course is still being used today.
